Joomla! is a pretty solid CMS. I’ve just started using it, but my first concern was moving the site from one server to another. Here is a link to the official Joomla! documentation site that walks you through the process of migrating a site from one server to another.

It’s pretty basic, and I was supprised it was so easy. As far as I can tell, after migrating from a Dreamhost server to my local system (Leopard runing MAMP) using these instructions, the only thing I needed to do was tweak the configuration.php file to point to the correct MySQL server with the correct cridentials.
